This week has been crazy (but fun) for us.
With help from the Sooke Sailing Co-op we are getting trained on outboard motor tuneups. The motor for Viento is done, running way better and passed with flying colours. We still have the outboards for Yacht a Fun and the coach boat to do.
All the Sooke Sailing Co-op members are now done at least up to the level 3 orientation. Way to go.
On Saturday Nov. 29 we are picking up Ariane and sailing her home from Oak Bay Marina. Ariane a Crown 23 was donated to our sailing program by Alison Bullock of Victoria. Ariane is outfitted for racing and will be a great benefit for training for the club.
Sooke Santa Parade, Sunday November 30, at 11:30AM, meet at Sooke Elementary. Lots of room, we are planing on entering an Optimist Sailboat on a trailer and walking with PFD on and handing out candies. Call or email if you think you can make it.
Sooke Sailpast, Saturday Dec. 6, 4:30PM at Mariners Village. Hope to have three keelboats lighted up and parading around the harbour. Lots of fun!
Lots of interest in the clubs so welcome to new members!
